From the rising number of homeless families, to the increase in abuse and neglect of children and seniors and the growth in requests for help with basic needs, I see daily the far-reaching impact of this recession.

The celebration of Easter and arrival of spring signify both spiritual renewal and a rebirth of the beauty of God's creation. So many of our clients experience such a rebirth and renewal: rebirth into community, from which they may have been separated physically, spiritually or emotionally; renewal of faith in themselves, in humanity and, often, in the living presence of God .
