Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, Samaritan Place serves 17 counties in East Tennessee. Samaritan Place provides and innovative set of programs that respond to the needs of senior citizens in housing crisis and to families in need of caregiver support.

The people and programs of Catholic Charities of East Tennessee are all about being involved in the lives of those we serve, Just as God shared this life with us through his son Jesus, we are trying to share our lives with those who need us. There is so much rhetoric and political jargon about the poor. Unfortunately there are not many who are willing to talk with the poor.

Through my involvement with this agency, I have been blessed to work daily with generous staff and volunteers who are willing to talk, work and even live among the poor.

Financial Peace University

Concerned with the high debt ratios affecting a number of clients, CCETN applied for and received a grant from Dave Ramsay's Financial Peace Foundation. The in-kind grant award has provided the agency with all materials needed to offer the highly acclaimed Financial Peace University classes to tuition evaluation, housing counseling, and transitional housing clients throughout East Tennessee .
